By removing geographical barriers through an online model, the foundation expanded reach to 300 registered Muslim youths across 13 Nigerian states (including Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Kaduna, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Niger, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, and FCT Abuja), alongside international participants joining from Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

The competition launched on June 21, 2026, with participants receiving digital copies of Sayyid Abul A'la Mawdudi’s foundational text, Towards Understanding Islam. Following a month of intensive study, contestants put their knowledge to the test on August 15 through a high-speed live quiz hosted on the Kahoot interactive platform.

To foster creative expression, the organizers introduced an optional Video Challenge category. Participating youths were tasked with creating one-minute video reviews summarizing key lessons from the book and sharing them across social media platforms to engage a wider online audience.

The event culminated in an award presentation during the Grand Finale at the Pure Heart Annual National Summit, held at the Oluwatoyin Ojobaro Central Mosque in Sagamu, Ogun State.

Competition Winners

Quiz Challenge Champions

| Position | Winner | State & Prize
| 1st Place | Abdulhaqq Jimoh | Ogun State — ₦150,000
| 2nd Place | Tijani Ahmed | Kwara State — ₦100,000
| 3rd Place | Khadijat Solihu | Lagos State — ₦50,000

Consolation Prize Winners (₦15,000 each): Muhammad Salami (Ogun), Abdullah Akinlabi (Oyo), Mubaraq Okesiji (Ogun), Ridwanullah Popoola (Kwara), Abdulqoyum Jamiu (Oyo), Muhammad Salisu (Kwara), Jafar Bakare (Kwara), Faysol Abdulwahab (Ogun), and Hafsoh Abbas Olabisi (Oyo).

Video Challenge Champions

| Category | Participant | Prize
| 1st Place Winner | Abdulwaliyy Ridwanullahi (@ridshalaldiaries) | ₦100,000
| Honorable Mention | Hibatullah Baruwa (@hibahspeaks) | ₦25,000

Leadership Remarks & Winner Reactions

Reiterating the purpose of the initiative, PHF National Coordinator Mallam Ibrahim Ola Balogun commended the youth for their dedication, emphasizing that the IQRA Challenge serves as a strategic intervention to revive intellectual discipline and spiritual growth among young Muslims.

Expressing appreciation, overall Quiz winner Abdulhaqq Jimoh lauded the digital workflow for making national participation seamless, while Video Challenge winner Abdulwaliyy Ridwanullahi highlighted how the format empowered participants to become active digital ambassadors of Islamic knowledge.

.
